I recognize that I am biased in my interactions with others.

I am not “colorblind,” and I tend to notice race, just I do sex, obesity, attractiveness, age, sexual orientation, and other traits.

I also recognize that I am often unaware of the ways these superficial aspects of people can affect the way I interact with them.

Therefore, I recognize that although I do not want to discriminate against people, I often do so unintentionally.

I pledge to try to be more aware of my own biases, and to try to keep them from influencing my interactions with others.
